Forced prostitution and human trafficking are among the gravest human rights violations of this day and age.
In Europe alone, thousands of women are traded as slaves and forced into prostitution. Many of these women come from economically disadvantaged areas of South-Eastern Europe or Western Africa. The Shelter Foundation has taken upon itself to draw attention to this widely tabooed form of modern-day slavery and to provide unbureaucratic help to the victims.

Under the patronage of Richard Serra and Clara Weyergraf-Serra, seventeen artists have generously given graphic prints and photographs (forty copies each) to the Shelter Foundation in support of our work. Moreover, three artists, Lucinda Devlin, Evelyn Hofer and Jan Wawrzyniak have offered works which you may also acquire.
